Feel Like Flying

sometimes I feel like flying away
high above this town
where I can see ahead of me
the place where I am bound
 
chasing the sun to places unknown
through enchanted skies
far over the river below
a lone eagle flies
 
out there's a place for us
in the Indigo blue
where horizons never end
dreams still come true
for me             and you
 
 
 
the open road is haunting me now
long after we came home
it's still calling to me out there
where restless spirits roam
 
many miles behind us now
many more to come
flying over this highway
into the setting sun
